Decentralized government

What do you guys or girls think about developing some sort of decentralized government? What I thought about is to have some sort of voting system in place where any individual can have a say.

One can even categorize votes, so that people with knowledge(proof of degree or work experience) can have more value when they vote, then any other average individual on certain topics.

People will be able to rate their best contributors or candidates and this "rank" will assist in your vote counting a bit more.

In a nutshell, its a system that can obviously be more complex than I described, but can have everyone voting on matters that affects the whole country and have a much shorter time to execution than any current government.

How I think this can help? - Time to execution will be much shorter - Transparency - Less chance of corruption - Less manipulation to fit the needs of corporations - etc.

I think this is one of those ideas, that might be complete garbage, however, I am still interested in what you have to say?

I think you're pointing in a cool direction with decentralized power but always always always be careful giving preference (voting power) to individuals. Merit is subjective and it can easily become a society where the previously established and extremely privileged write the rules. Sound familiar? I'm interested to hear more people weigh in, it seems our current institutions are increasingly against the will of the people so decentralization might be a good answer.
