Many people waited for the fork and kept their BTC into private wallets; but not everybody knows how to transfer them after the fork.
Electron cash (http://www.electroncash.org) is a variant of electrum wallet specially built for Bitcoin cash.
You can use it to transfer your BCC after the fork.
It is highly advised that you transfer your BTC from the wallet before transfering BCC. This way you avoid mixing them together.
