EDIT 29/03/2018 Feedback from EximChain
Hi Andre,
Thanks for taking the time to review our code, our large scale network testing results are available on https://github.com/Eximchain/quorum-stress-tests. Our current testnet has around 250 machines running the protocol on real, not simulated, infrastructure live in US, Canada, Brazil, England, Ireland, Germany, France, Singapore, Japan, Australia, India; automated and managed through Infrastructure as Code. With Infra as Code we will offer our users to manage distributed blockchain, api’s, and key management infrastructures to support their applications. We will release our 10 part video tutorial series on how to use Eximchain’s self-built tools to develop decentralized enterprise infrastructure on AWS soon, hopefully you will consider doing a review again:)
Regards,
Eximchain
Me: So their goal right now is infrastructure, and they are focusing on it a lot (as you will see from their terraformer application as well), so right now they are less focused on the actual blockchain code, but instead on creating an easy, sustainable, enterprise grade solution of infrastructure to build on top of. This is how you build your foundation the right way. I actually really hope they explore this as a solution and offer it as a service to other blockchain companies as well. I love how each team is focusing on a different angle and it shows a really positive combined future.
** Original article follows
4 days, 5 days, 6 days, pretty inactive. I find it interesting that they have both go-ethereum and quorum. Quorum is a permissioned version of go-ethereum, it can run in Raft or BFT consensus, it is great for private networks.
Let’s have a look at the top 3 repo’s
eth-client, 3 commits ahead, let’s see what was changed
Could have already answered that before I even looked at it, just another rename, nothing else, let’s move on
3 commits ahead, we already know what it’s going to be right?
If you guessed a rename, and nothing else, then 10 points.
4 commits ahead, can you guess what it is?
Well, you guessed wrong, it’s nothing.
Conclusion: Go-ethereum and Quorum forked and renamed, nothing else here. Is this what companies are doing now? Just forking and renaming and doing an ICO?
