Taking on tips on cryptocoins and trying to make money mimicking others

We all share one dream: getting rich easy and without any risks!

I'm a beginner in investing in crypto (bought some EOS when before it started to rise up again) and I've met many different articles and posts, giving different advice on what to do and what to buy. The worst ones though, are the ones which promise you anything of this:

  • Very high reward
  • No risks involved
  • "Just give me your password and I'll help you"

The best advice I've ever met was "Invest only as much as you are ready to lose". You all should do that. Invest only as much as you are prepared to lose, as you'll never know what happens. Worst case scenario is going all Mt. Gox and nobody is happy. Yay.

Failures are awaiting behind the corner.

I'd recommend this for most of us as a hobby. Don't try to make a living out of it, but try to get rich. At least that's what I'm trying to do, a hobby in hopes to get some free money.. maybe. I wouldn't try to make my everyday living with this, but I wouldn't mind a huge price increase on EOS though and buying a new boat with the profits.

Ok, back to business. I've followed how several people have been trying to invest on cryptocoin only based on tips they are getting from different people or from articles. "Buy EOS when it's under 2 dollars!" or "You should get some of ***coin" and some "BitCoin sucks, don't buy it".

You can get a lot of good advice from articles, but there are few points I'd like to make:

  • Don't look after certain values to sell or to buy
You can lose your good chance to buy a crypto when waiting for the price to fall below a certain limit.
  • Don't believe one, two or any amount of people you are following can know the future
If bunch of articles are saying a coin will lose it's value, they may get it right. Maybe.
  • There is no crypto inverstors who haven't made mistakes
They all have failed at least once or twice in something. They might fail again. If you are going to fail with them, don't blame them.

If you follow someone wrong based on my advices, don't come and blame me.
That was supposed to be a joke, but it doesn't seem like one.

good tips, @apsu

You're welcome.

Great post, @apsu. I totally agree with you that people shouldn't make it their main income when one is only starting to invest/trade. "Invest only as much as you are ready to lose" - very useful advice, I'll bear it in my mind. :)

Thanks for the comment :) If you invest, I hope you'll do well so you can stop doing analytics for money! ;)

Explicit I guess? Hahahah

Let's not go that deep into this ;D
