Is Coinbase Really Adding ETH Classic?

Since last night I have been hearing that Coinbase is talking about adding ETH classic.

But there are a number of things that make me think this is a stupid move and why ETH classic instead of another coin.

1 Market Value

ETH Classic is wayyyy down the list at #18 that is even on top of the news it could be added to coinbase which seemed to have injected about $200,000,000 There are much better coins that coinbase could add such as Dash, NEO hell even EOS lol but instead they will add ETH classic ? 🤔

2 If there was ever an ICO

If Ethereum is found to be an ICO and come under increased regulations well then ETH classic would really be the ICO chain while ETH is not as it forked off of ETH Classic. ETH Classic was the alpha/beta version of ethereum. Its missing a lot of shit ETH has.

3 Simply because of pressure?

Coinbase took a ton of flak when BCH was launched and coinbase did not add it to their exchanges. Instead months later they added it after a lawsuit was filed.

Is ETH Classic the same boat?

And if that is the case why has every other Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and BCH fork not been released to coinbase owners. That's seriously a ton of coins simply locked up whoever was holding them in coinbase at the time of the fork.

To me this news seems more like cover your butt then a bit new coin being added to coinbase.

What are you thoughts?
