I hate to be a Debbie downer. That's never a role I'd want to play in this space. I care so much about seeing blockchain succeed and disrupt a number of different industries. But the mentality around crypto is alarming at times. People evangelizing some coin that doesn't disrupt or solve anything. People trying to make a quick buck off something they don't even understand. I can't tell you the number of times I've gone to a meet up or a blockchain forum and hardly anyone even knew what an ERC20 was. Or if they did know, it was a very basic understanding of the meaning and functionality.
I am more than happy to help those that are just learning about blockchain and are interested in understanding what it can do and where its limitations are, but for those that claim to be "experts" and go around touting their token or coin and acting like they know what they're coin even does aside from having limited functionality on some protocol layer, is absurd. Thats why I welcome regulation and I welcome those that support true innovation and novel approaches to disrupting industries that quite frankly need disrupting.
Let's build a truly decentralized ecosystem that isn't about shilling some stupid coin but about building a better future for us and for everyone. Building a world that doesn't rely on a few specific people at the top of a food chain to execute. Let's put the power in our own hands and decide how we interact with the world. This is the true promise of blockchain, a truly decentralized framework that allows for building and tokenizing truly important ecosystems.
Best,
Blockchain Bella
Your heading seems a bit misleading as you do not really make an argument for why crypto isn't going to the moon. I share your sentiments though.
