February the 6th could potentially be a huge day for cryptocurrency. The SEC(US Securities and Exchange Commission) and the CFTC(Commodity Futures Trading Commission will meet on the 6th of February to solely discuss cryptocurrency.
This could be a huge day for crypto as this meeting could provide a regulatory "green light" for institutional investors. The majority of big investors and big banks have steered clear of investing into cryptocurrency due to the lack of regulatory insight.
This meeting could be the proverbial trigger that we have been waiting on for big money to get into crypto and pump the markets to new highs!
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the meeting could also potentially manifest a negative overlook or conclusion that could scare the market into a further spiral. While I don't foresee the United States coming out with a ban after this meeting, you never know. The news hasn't been great as of late, and we all need to dearly hope that good news comes out of this meeting.
I hope that this turns out to be a positive thing for the market, and I will have my eyes glued to the computer on the 6th to see how this pans out.
What do you think will come out of this meeting? Tell me in the comments!
To the moon,
This is a big quandary for governments. On one hand, it undermines their own fiat and banking system and on the other hand, there is way too much potential for added taxation to simply regulate an entire industry into submission. Besides, there is too much wealth already created that the government feels can't just be wiped out! Only time will tell.

good analysis, the market wont go away completely regardless. Besides, the evil mofo overloads are adaptable and have probably been preparing for this long times.

Given the oversold conditions at the moment, even a slightly positive news can lead to very large gains in crypto.

cryptos will never be banned, just regulated, which is not such a bad thing, there will be less scam.
I sold my cryptos last week and wondering when to buy again. I dont know at this stage what the direction is, but I know I cannot afford losses so I sold.

I think so much bad news is already in the valuation of the market that we will not move much either way but will still have daily volatility.

The central banks would always feel threatened by cryptocurency market. Truly in life whatever is doing well without any form of centralised checking system would always be a threat to centralise controlled systems which would always seek to control that system. (story of central banks and crypto)

This is going to be tough to be able to predict the outcome of the market. But one thing am kinda of sure is that they wont put a ban on cryptocurrency.

I ask everyone who feels like Bitcoin/Crypto is finshed:
Why would so many Multi-Billion dollar companies invest in the infrastructure of cryptocurrency if they were fairly sure it would fail?
What is the more likely scenario: The banks are afraid of virtual currency overthrowing their control completely, OR the banks are delaying the success of crypto UNTIL they have established their desired positions to maintain all, if not most of the power they have now?

This is going to be tough to be able to predict the outcome of the market. But one thing am kinda of sure is that they wont put a ban on cryptocurrency. There's going to be lots of attempts at centralized regulations but the specific regulatory guidelines is what I can't say...
So lets hope for the best while hodling on.
