Passive Crypto Earnings October 2020 (Lending/Dividends/Staking)

in crypto •  4 years ago

I continue to make these monthly reports on my Lending, staking, Dividends passive earnings as I honestly have no clue where they are at if it wasn't up for these posts and they also might give some good info to those who are also looking to get some passive earnings from their crypto holdings...

I will only cover mostly passive earnings in these posts not including earnings that take more effort like blogging, Gaming, Sports Betting & Poker or Affiliates on platforms like Hive |Publish0x | Scorum | Steemit | Uptrennd | Splinterlands | Nitrogensports | ...

I didn't do all too much to grow my Passive Earnings last month and mostly just left everything in place. Altcoin prices have seen quite the dump and I added some on my BAND and WIN holdings while also cost-averaging my way into SPT. For those wondering how much is needed to get the earnings that I'm getting, all percentages can be found so it's fairly easy to reverse-calculate!

Crypto Lending Earnings

I'm still using the 4 big Crypto Lending platforms (Celsius.network | BlockFi | Nexo.io | Crypto.com) as a way to both get the best rates and also spread the risk.

1. BlockFi

BlockFi is still the easyest and cleanest platform to get a return on my crypto earnings. The rates remain also excellent (6% on BTC | 5.25% on ETH | 5% on LTC) and payouts are done once a month very consistenly. I did add some more ETH just a couple of days ago and plan to also increase my BTC holdings there.

BlockFi is also giving a 10$ worth in BTC to everyone that signs up and deposits at least 100$ in Crypto on their interest account when they sign up with a Referral link. Feel free to use mine or the one from a friend that already has a BlockFi account.

BlockFi Passive Earnings
0.0041785 BTC (57.19$)
0.04421096 ETH (16.86$)
0.08730406 LTC (4.61$)

2. Crypto.com Earn / Cashback

Right now I mainly use Crypto.com for their Visa Debit card which makes me earn 2% on all my purchases paid out in CRO which has been awesome. Their Ledning rates have fallen a lot to the point where I soon will no longer use them for that. I still have ICX there which pays 8% for as long as there is left on the locking period but once this expires and locking it up again would only give 2% returns. For a long time, they had excellent benefits for signing up as a way to promote their platform which often made them look like a ponzi despite showing profitable numbers. Right now they seem to focus more in making everything as scalable as possible through company revenue.

They are still offering a nice sign-up deal for everyone that gets on using a referral link (code: e7xe283zea) giving a free 25$ worth in CRO when meeting certain requirements.

Crypto.com Passive Earnings
20.2961 ICX (6.18$)
76.1149 CRO (5.84$)

3. Celsius.network

I am still holding most of my altcoins on Celsius.network since they pretty much give the best rates and allow for weekly compounding. October was a long month seeing 5 weekly payouts which is the reason for the returns increase. I could possibly earn quite a bit more by selecting to earn in CEL and I might try that one month but I'm honestly not a fan of that system.

Celcius.network is still offering a sign-up bonus up to 20$ in BTC for everyone that signs up with a Referral link depositing 200$ or more keeping it in place for at least 30 days.

Celsius.network Passive Earnings
15.1543 LINK (153.82$)
4.2545 EOS (9.83$)
7.70667 ZRX (2.38$)
0.01053 DASH (0.66$)

4. Nexo.io

Nexo.io seems to have increased their lending stakes now offering a 5% base return on most coins. This includes LINK which I might move (at least a part) over there as Celsius where it is now has 4.51% rates which is quite the difference. Rates on the EOS I have there also increased from 4% to 5%. They also pay daily instead of monthly or weekly which allows a better compound effect.

Nexo.io Passive Earnings
1.6968 EOS (3.92$)

Crypto Dividend Earnings

These are dividends paid from projects that have actual revenue and share it with tokenholders.

1. Wink.org (WIN)

Wink.org continues to offer excellent returns for anyone that is looking for a dividend-generating coin. When I started cost-averaging my way into it, I was quite skeptical but I have grown to appreciate the fact that they actually bring some good fundamentals with actual revenue (at least that is what it looks like). The main trade-off is that it has far less speculative value in terms of price increase and there is still a massive supply that potentially could be added to the pool which receives the daily dividends. Overall, I like this one for what it is and it helps to diversify my overall crypto portfolio generating some nice passive income and increased my holdings from 12M to 15M WIN by now with some temptation to get more. I also continue to make weekly reports on the news and how dividends are holding up. (See Latest Post)

Wink.org Passive Earnings
WIN 2225.22 TRX (53.27$)
RAKE 39.76 TRX (0.95$)

2. Sportbet.one (SBET)

SBET Dividends have declined each time a bit the last 3 months coming off a high of 121$ and I often time wrote how the Dividends were very vulnerable in case some of the whale betting action on the platform would reduce which seems to be what happened. I still remain optimistic about the project and just continue to hodl on to my holdings in anticipation for sportbet.one which currently has ~130 weekly users to get wider adoption. The marketcap is still very low and the team currently is focused on making the product itself as good as possible before starting real marketing.

Sportbet.one Passive Earnings
15.9547 EOS (36.86$)
1258.18 SBET (3.37$)
0.23393 mBTC (3.20$)
0.2592 USDT (0.26$)

Crypto Staking Earnings

From what I understand, staking is all about locking up coins getting rewards for it that most of the time comes from inflation.

1. NEO GAS

The 100 NEO (1388$) last mont produced around 0.696 GAS (0.78$) which doesn't even add up to 1% and I'm more considering just selling the bit of NEO I have left from my 2017 bag or putting it on a lending platform which earns way more compared to the GAS that is being produced.

NEO GAS Passive Earnings
0.873206 GAS (0.78$)

2. Tron (TRX)

It was nice to do some yield farming last month with the Sun tokens but I have given up on that and sold what I earned getting some more WIN which has better fundamentals instead. I continue to just stake what I consider my Wink.org spare poker bankroll (12k TRX) using it to vote on Super Representatives getting some passive TRX for that.

TRON Passive Earnings
107.517 TRX (2.58$)

3. Algorand (ALGO) Staking Rewards

I continue to hold around 1000 Algorand sitting in my Binance account which automatically collects passive returns each month.Earning Staking Rewards on Binance is as simple as having Coins in your wallet there. They are providing passive returns for a lot of different coins (TOMO | ARK | EOS | ARPA | LIST | THETA | LOOM | KAVA | TEZOS | ATOM | TRON | ALOG | ONE | FET | STRAT | QTUM | KMD | VET | ONT | NEO | TROY | ERD | XLM). Signing up with my Referral Link will also give you a 0.10% cashback on all your trading fees.

Algorand (ALGO) Passive Earnings
3.9039 ALGO (0.90$)

4. Band Protocol Staking Rewards

The price of BAND got quite a hit since I started buying some around 12$ which was 30% below the all-time high. I continue to cost-average my way in as the price continues to fall and am now at ~190 BAND and will continue to add some more as an alternative oracle to Chainlink. I personally am ok with how there are big price swings in the crypto market as I'm quite used to it from being many years into betting. It will be interesting to see if/when there is going to be another altcoin season and what BAND will do then. I continue to have it staked in my Atomic Wallet for nice Returns (which come from inflation so it's basically a zero-sum game)

Band Protocol (BAND) Passive Earnings
1.4777 BAND (5.98$)

5. LEO Miner Rewards

I have done a great deal buying the LEOM (See taking a closer look at Leo Miners) as the price more than doubled while it is providing some stable returns. 170 Miners which I paid 54.25$ for at the time managed to mine 23.408 LEO in October which each are worth 0.149$ (3.49$). For more on the Leofinance blogging platform, check leofinance.io/@costanza

23.408 LEO (3.49$)

6. SPT Delegation

I looked into the SPT which is the native token of the Splintertalk.io platform a while back (See A Closer Look Into Splintertalk.io (SPT) on which I pretty much sold myself on getting into it. So I used some of my earnings on Hive to cost-average my way into it which is not easy since there is very little buying or selling going on. All the SPT I bought on the market or earned from blogging, I instantly delegate to @monster-curator who pay out 100% of the curation rewards daily. By now I reached ~400k SPT never buying above 0.00025$ which is my price limit and I plan to at least add until I reach 500k. Currently, my SPT holding is worth 104$ and I plan on making a more detailed post on the returns soon. I did earn 9408.81 SPT during the month I cost-averaged my way into it.

Airdrops

Being a token holder having your coins in your own wallet will occasionally give you some free coins that are being airdropped in case a chain gets forked. This is pretty much fee money

1. BLURT Airdrop

So Blurt is a fork of Hive which is a fork of STEEM to make it all more complicated. This airdrop was done a while back but I never really paid attention to it as I was not really in for another Steemit clone and had a hard time seeing the value proposition. I still haven't looked into it yet but the fact that the price went up made me take notice. All I know about the platform is that each action requires a small cost which at first sight seems to be a nice idea. Based on the airdrop, I got around 13432 BLURT which each are currently worth 0.20688$ which is ~277$. I have yet to make up my mind if I will keep them or try to sell them. Given the fact that the price likely is very volatile, I will count half of it as actual earnings as I should always be able to get at least that from it.
