Years End 2017

This year has been... Nope, not that predictable of a post. Let’s begin again...

2018 presents itself to be a wilder ride than 2017 was. For me,2017 was very exciting. There seems little chance of life on this planet will calm down anytime soon.

I expect 2018 to bring global economic change. The new system may not finish being established this year, but the process will have begun.

The problem is debt! The world is broke. National debts are well past the point of ever being repaid. If interest rates rise, the debts cannot even be serviced. This alone spells trouble for 2018.

This debt problem will snowball the migration out of bonds. Crypto currency is at least an optional destination. Some may prefer physical assets like art, land, or precious metals, but the world requires an efficient way to transport value.

There will be no single winner in the crypto race. I expect it to be a herd in full stampede mode. Everything will beat fiat currency.

In this transition period, currency wars will steal the show. The battle will favor those with lower fees and simplicity.

This year is ending with great uncertainty. Next year must try to bring stability, but I see little chance of global success.
