Davos, Switzerland — 23 January 2018 — Ambrosus today announced that it has joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), the world’s largest open source blockchain initiative with more than 250 member companies.
Ambrosus joined EEA to further its industry connections, facilitate critical knowledge exchange, and support future partnerships, while furthering the adoption of Ethereum in the enterprise.
“We’re thrilled to announce our membership in EEA,” says Ambrosus CEO Angel Versetti. “This is an important milestone for our company as we move toward our objective of large-scale adoption of Blockchain technology in the food and pharma industry. Having access to the best minds in the business will help accelerate the advancement of our technology along with our business development goals.”
Ambrosus is building the world’s first universally-verifiable ecosystem to ensure the quality, safety, and origins of the products we consume. Combining high-tech sensors, blockchain protocol built on Ethereum, and smart contracts, Ambrosus’ technology will radically improve global supply chains by reliably recording the entire history of products — particularly in the food and pharmaceuticals space. This will enable a more secure and autonomous supply chain, optimize distribution processes, and allow consumers to easily see where their products come from and what’s really in them.
Always thinking bigger, Ambrosus aims to drive powerful social change, enabling developers to build solutions to global problems faced by consumers and businesses — both large and small — here and in the developing world. In 2018 and beyond, the company will work to build a global trade and financial ecosystem, creating a flexible platform that connects the movement of goods to the movement of finances. Ultimately, Ambrosus is building an ecosystem of trust: creating a healthier, wealthier, and more sustainable world — for everyone.
About The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance
The EEA is an industry-supported, not-for-profit established to build, promote, and broadly support Ethereum-based technology best practices, open standards, and open-source reference architectures. The EEA is helping to evolve Ethereum into an enterprise-grade technology, providing research and development in a range of areas, including privacy, confidentiality, scalability, and security. The EEA is also investigating hybrid architectures that span both permissioned and public Ethereum networks as well as industry-specific application layer working groups.
EEA will collectively develop open industry standards and facilitate collaboration with its member base and is open to any members of the Ethereum community who wish to participate. This open-source framework will enable the mass adoption at a depth and breadth otherwise unachievable in individual corporate silos and provide insight to the future of scalability, privacy, and confidentiality of the public Ethereum permissionless network.
