Welcome to the EBN daily newsletter

Welcome to the first edition of the Entropy Bitcoin News daily!
In this special first issue, I will be covering some old news which I feel has importance and then break in to the latest developments on the crypto scene. Starting off, let's talk about the first ever ZCash developer show & tell and livestream.

ZCash Show & Tell

The zero-knowledge ZCash cryptocurrency (https://z.cash) held it's first ever Show and Tell event on Feb 3, 2017.
They featured the work of developer radix42 (David Mercer) on the Mac and Windows port of the ZCash wallet.
Topics and questions answered included whether or not the GUI currently have QR code support, and what challenges
did David face porting the software to the Mac & Windows platform. It has been an impressive work so far,
and is sure to progress as ZCash continues to evolve, hopefully bringing along the much anticipated selective disclosure feature, allowing details of a transaction (such as amount sent) only to be revealed to chosen parties.

Counterparty XCP value doubles year to date

The bitcoin-based crypto-asset platform Counterparty has seen it's value double from the same time last year. This
doubling of market cap from $5 million to $10 million has been spurned by Counterparty's real world use cases, becoming
a popular platform for distributed storage startups (StorJ) and gaming applications (BitCrystals, Rare Pepe). This trend of new
projects being built on Counterparty and new assets being developed will likely continue throughout 2017. You can read the full story here:

Parity Ethereum wallet launches new Chrome extension

The browser-based Ethereum wallet and DAPP platform has released a new version, as well as Chrome extension.
This allows you to interact with the Ethereum-enabled DAPP sites browser wide using your local Parity node.

That's all for the first edition of the EBN newsletter! I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned for more breaking news from across the crypto-sphere!
