Unboxing Ledger Nano S - Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallet

in crypto •  7 years ago

Keeping your crypto on an exchange or in various wallets across the web might prove to be dangerous and not that effective. Unfortunately, I have been there and I know how it feels when someone takes yours by cheating, but for this - another time. It came as a total surprise from my friends, so I am very grateful and just want to say - THANK YOU!

When I got the gift I was already on Steemit and I immediately decided to share this experience with you Steemians and to make something like mini-series on Ledger Nano S. I don't know anything about the Ledger, except that it keeps your crypto safe - so I will learn and pass that knowledge to you.

First things first

What Is Ledger Nano S

According to their Website

Ledger Nano S is a Bitcoin, Ethereum and Altcoins hardware wallet, based on robust safety features for storing cryptographic assets and securing digital payments. It connects to any computer (USB) and embeds a secure OLED display to double-check and confirm each transaction with a single tap on its side buttons.

I would like to add that this is the most secure way to keep your crypto, of course there are other Hardware Wallets as well - like Trezor. You can use these wallets to send and receive crypto in a safe matter.

Opening The Box

I tried taking the shot in different ways, but Steemit allowed only this version of it

The box is made very ellegantly and is kind of using a simplistic approach to it. I really like the colours they have chosen and the way it looks.
