It is a form of online money that doesn't require a bank. For this reason it is normally described as "decentralised"
It is the next evolution of money.
In the same way as we had vinyl, then CD's and now downloads. With money we had cash, then plastic and now online banking. Well crypto currencies are simply the next evolution.
