Guide To Buying Crypto, Bitcoin, Altcoins, and Ether

Hello,
The latest technological boom is all over mainstream news and media! But where do I get information I can trust from the people for the people??

Most news sources say if you want to buy cryptocurrency or bitcoin then go to coinbase.
However, that is maybe the easiest or largest exchange for now in the US but times are changing fast.

I prefer to use Gemini Exchange to get bitcoin or Ether - then from there you can send the funds to another exchange if you want to start trading, dabbling, or hodling alt coins. Yes that is spelled Hodl for reason we will get into another time.

Once you get funds and are ready to get into the smaller coins which we call alt coins or alternative to bitcoin.

My favorite exchange is by far Binance.

This is where the action happens - with tons of coins and pairings available this exchange offers it all.
With Features like limit orders and stop limit and an amazing user interface it makes crypto so easy your mother could do it.

They also have their own coin the Binance BNB coin that you can use for 50% off commissions but just holding them in your account.

Before purchasing any coins or Crypto Currency make sure you do your home work and never take any ones advice without researching yourself and knowing your own risk tolerances.

This is a highly volatile asset class in its infant stages of development but that doesn't mean its tulips or its worthless.

Once you understand the blockchain technology and how it can improves systems, lives, and business you can start to explore individual projects and coins.

The main hub for information on individual coins right now is
https://coinmarketcap.com

I do hope better and more informative sites and even decentralized sites should be coming in 2018 and information will only get more trusted as time goes on.

Key terms
Fomo-
anxiety that an exciting or interesting event may currently be happening elsewhere, often aroused by posts seen on a social media website.

Whale -in the crypto world is just an investor or buyer who has makes large orders and can even move the market very large dollar amount traders or investors

I come from a Financial background and a tech background so I am still learning and trying to understand the tech and the information but the market is real and this market moves fast.

It's common to hear people say a week in crpyto is like a year or more in another market.
One example of this is some coins might rise 50, 100, even 1000% in a week but also they could fall 10,20,50 80% in a day or weeks time so tread carefully.

This is not financial advise but some have asked me to list some of my favorite coins for 2018.
