What's with the Crypto Price Dives? Was It Spoofing?

Steem 24 Hour

Ripple 24 Hour

BitCoin 24 Hour

At around 18:00 (I guess this is UTC, I really don't know what coingecko.com uses as standard time) till about 20:30 there was a huge dip in the prices of crypto, I am just showing you Steem, Ripple and Bitcoin, you can see the very large dip on these charts. Now the question is what caused it? I see they are all coming back up, but what was the dive about? I would think it was the big guys spoofing, spoofing is "Bidding or offering with the intent to cancel the bid or offer before execution" or better said you pretend you are going to sell at a very low price, scare the market, and as soon as the price gets close to the limit you pull your order and buy all you can at the lowest possible price. What I don't understand is why nearly all alt coins also follow the same trend, I can't believe they are so well organized that all whales in all alt coins will do this simultaneously with a lot of different crypto's, unless the whales who own the most coins are actually the same people regardless of coin, could be. At least it looks like prices are going back up.

One of these dips cost me over 1000$, by triggering a stop loss.
Hard lesson learned. Use stop loss with caution!!
