Online brokerage firm Monix Group, which bought the hacked Japanese currency exchange "Queen Chuck" this spring, plans to launch a US trading platform, QuentiLife said on July 27.
A summary of the data from a financial briefing held on Friday confirms that there are plans to establish TradeCreditCropo Inc. as a subsidiary focusing on the encrypted currencies of the Securities Brokerage Company, which was acquired by Monix in 2011.
According to QuentiLife Japan, Monex chief executive Oki Matsumoto also noted that Quinn Chuck - acquired by Monix in April at about $ 33 million - is supposed to be fully operational next month.
Matsumoto originally expected the opening of the Quinn Chuck in June, but the delay in obtaining a license from Japan's Financial Services Authority (FSA) delayed it, according to QuentiLife Japan.
As Mr Matsumoto said at a news conference, he is confident of obtaining a license from the Financial Services Authority, adding that Monix has already finished investing in electronic security and internal management.
Queen Chuck has continued its work since the acquisition of Monix, demonstrating strict compliance with regulatory demands since the platform lost $ 534 million in the January breakout, the industry's biggest breakthrough to date.
In May, officials removed four types of alternative currencies that focus on anonymity from the records of Queen Chuck's applications, while also announcing plans to expand in the US market.
