I've been on both sides of this issue. It was nice to have copyright protection for the books and articles I wrote, and an automated system might have stopped some of the pirates who stole my content and republished it under their own names. At the same time, I had to constantly worry about copyright and trademark issues when I was writing about new products and so on. Even got threatened with a lawsuit once for selling a game guide that included the name of the game it was about. It isn't clear whether automating all this will make life easier or harder for us content producers. Possibly automating things will lead to more consistent protection and enforcement. Time to start reading the white paper!

I thought it's a feasible idea that will have a market share in the copyright market as there aren't solutions that are good enough in the market yet, so this idea of the ico will gain popularity with time as people will see it's an effective method for copyright registration.
I think Kodak is a company that is old school and passed it's glory days so we better invest in a young, hungry company.

These are some very interesting developments in the crypto-world, for the reasons you pointed out as well as many others. The field of IP is obviously changing dramatically as are many others, and it will continue to do so the technology to violate IP seems to evolve and proliferate much more quickly then the means of enforcement can keep up with. I haven't look into the Copytrack tech, so don't really know whats involved. However my sense is that there needs to be more flexibility in the thinking of IP owners and an openness to new incentised reward models for people that would like to comply, rather than criminalizing those that violate. We know how well that has worked out for the music industry. If the industry has a way to effectively implement wide-spread micropayment acceptance, than we'll all be a lot better off. Maybe they can even take a few hints from Steemit:).
As for Kodak, it breaks my heart to think about such a company / brand still tetering on the verge of extinction. Especially bitter since they were the first to develop a lot of digital photography tech and never capitalized. Ouch! But alas such are the risks of making major mistakes in the world of business.
