The social network Taringa! invests in cryptocurrency

Taringa! , a large South American social network, has announced the implementation of a cryptocurrency in its network. By partnering with MarkerDAO, and Airtm, the company has announced the launch of a decentralized platform called Taringa! Pioneros from which users can earn rewards in DAI (a stablecoin).

Taringa migrates to cryptocurrency

After Facebook, Taringa, a popular social network in Latin America, is taking advantage of the virtues of cryptocurrency to benefit from a new payment system on its platform.

Users will use the DAI cryptocurrency by performing transactions, and receiving rewards for publishing valuable content.

The project was presented by the leaders of Taringa, Marker DAO and Airtm, at the Blockchain Summit in Mexico.

The DAI as a stablecoin

According to Nadia Alvarez's explanation from Marker DAO, the DAI stablecoin would be the ideal support for protecting a currency from devaluation.

Indeed, DAI has been tested in Venezuela and Argentina to fight against hyperinflation . In addition, DAI has been shaped to track value parity with the US dollar.

Indeed, the DAI stablecoin has good technical and financial bases to support this project . Currently, its market capitalization is over $ 90 million, with a daily trading volume of $ 36 million.

Thanks to the expanse of the Taringa network, these figures could multiply very quickly, especially as investors are strongly influenced by this new form of cryptocurrency.
