What's happening in crytpo vs what's happening on Steemit

Where are all the crypto enthusiasts talking these days? It seems the entire community of Steemit has dried up (at least in my circle) over the years. No longer lots of psyched-up fellow steemians engaging in social chatter. There are crickets - and all while #bitcoin and #crypto, in general, are at all-time highs. Maybe we've lost some to #NFTs, #Twitter - - but seriously - where has everyone gone and why? I miss the feedback. I use @steemit to post and iterate my art: poetry, prose, paintings, talk about crypto and its value for artists. But is the value really there? It costs upwards of $200 to mint one #NFT alone. And if I use free platforms like @steemit, no one is listening, reading, or viewing anymore. Where are the whales that once supported us? We need engagement or the rest of the fish in the small ponds will be left to live out their remaining days in an ever-evaporating pond of water.
