I think it could be a few things...

Scared of the unkown

Most humans don't like change and understanding something new.

People weirdly trust a system that has failed them in the past.

People don't understand that underlining utility and potential that the technology has! They see it from a monetary point of view and think it's some kind of "Get Rich Quick" scheme.

At least this is the general stigma that I receive from the people that I interact with on the daily. (Not on this platform though 💃)

I for one am excited to see where the technology takes us. We live in very exciting times!

IMO one day most everything will somehow in someway run through a blockchain, whether the public knows it or not.
