So in 2016 the Legal Marijuana industry in the US raked in about 17B total. The illicit market in the US is valued at 221B.
With more and more states opting to legalize some form of cannabis either recreationally or medicinally, the projected market cap is expected to increase exponentially. With the current administrations uncertain approach to the industry, it does not seem as though banking systems in the US will begin taking pot money any time soon, thus creating a market in which crypto serves an immediate demand and need.
I am bullish on potcoin. Maybe I'm wrong, but for todays market price, I sure as hell would like to be right for once, at the right time...
To top that off, Canada is in the process of legalizing as well. If all goes as planned, it should be legal by this time next year.

Agreed, banks are still very apprehensive when it comes to accepting pot money. Question: what are the alternatives to potcoin? Certainly in the ICO hype, other pot focused coins are out there?
But what makes potcoin unique anyway? Why wouldn't they just use litecoin? It just seems to be about marketing and branding.
