I’m thinking of Steemit over a limited bandwidth network of less than 100Mb/ day for all users. I’ve spoken briefly to Syed from Outernet about this and he was interested.
Is it possible to change the query structure of SteemIt to only pull back info based on specific parameters, one being language. How could we make Steemit available to people in remote regions without having them download the entire block chain or receive a bunch of unneeded data?
I’m looking for any good ideas. This would probably be a separate network and a great way for people in restrictive countries like Cuba or Iran to get info and send out reports of their oppression. Then we move to the problem of paying for bandwidth too, but that’s a separate issue, which I think can be solved with ETH or Dash.
