I earned 100k in 2018? Cryptocrazytown

Well 2018 has started out with a bang hasn't it?

Alternative coins have been gaining in market cap value and I just stepped in something wet on the dark stairs... That's right I am discussing this with you while walking around my house, I digress.

So altcoins have become all the rage, especially ones that are very low in share price, I remind myself all the time this is not the stock market. This movement is much more different than the stock market, this is a cypherpunk movement and even though greed is taking over, that greed is fueling innovation all around the globe.

All I hear and all I see is that we are in a bubble, sure, but it's a bubble that will drive innovation?

We are very close (at the time of this speaking into the phone/writing)... We are close to 1 trillion dollar market cap for all cryptocurrencies or you could maybe better thought of as crypto projects.

If I know anything from following the stock market since the .com Bubble burst, I know that this space is not done growing yet and it may very well be in a bubble, but the bubble will be pumped and will get inflated further. I personally estimate total crypto market cap will likely surpass five trillion dollars.

The question that keeps rattling around in my head; does four trillion dollars flood into this market over the next 10 months? I tend to underestimate, and play thoughts conservatively. Who thought we would get this close to a trillion this quickly. So there is a side of me that thinks now way, there is also a growing side to me that says psht! Easy.

I hit 100k in total USD in crypto, now what do I do diversify? Do I move all my altcoins positions back into Bitcoin? Do I do nothing and leave it how I would never leave a portfolio on a stock market being so heavy in one project? Tough questions but I'm not going to get in the way of innovation or go against the trends. I just want to preserve gains and hopefully grow at a nice ROI. Eventually the markets will not be so dramatically different from day to day.

I think what I do now really is going to depend on what happens day-by-day. This is cryptocrazytown I keep telling myself and if I want the gains I need to pick projects that show they will DELIVER!!!

This is wake up and see your account blowing your mind and ruining your sleep patterns. I don't plan to be a new crypto expert but I do want to gain a following and grow a community. So if you read this far please follow, and please comment because one thing I want to do is USE crypto as much as I can in 2018. Comments will not only give me something to reply to but we are then using this service which is the point, right?

I believe in this movement and I am trying to not let greed take over my thoughts. I plan to use crypto to live a more sustainable life so you will see more posts in the future about off grid living and projects I complete on that journey.

I will post another update in the near future, ATM I need to sign off and pick up my teenage kiddo from his job. Life continues, even in cryptocrazytown.

Are you planning to use crypto this year? How? Give me ideas please. If you're so inclined give me an up vote or follow.

Be well,

Josh

Congrats on hitting 6 digits! I am hoping to get there in 2018 as well!

Enjoyed the read. I think as more and more people are becoming rich in the cryptoverse, they are all asking the same questions... And technically, the answer is not very straightforward.

I know people that enter Crypto with a 100k, so the first question you need to ask yourself, is what percent of your total wealth is this? Then its important to figure out some of the facets of your life:
1 - married? Kids? Age?
2 - Savings / retirement plan?
3 - Other investment tools? IRA account? Stocks? Bonds? Mutual Funds? eRIT?

Let me know if you want to go into more detail. As a financial analyst, I might be able to help you a bit. :)

Thank you. I have enough crypto to care. I will update more in future post about how I'm going about kicking ass in 2018. Selling my business is happening soon... lots to talk about so why not steemit? Be well
