As the Founder of iBlock TV, Dushan Spalevic explains, the fundraising instruments of token sales have been through some rapid changes in the last year, from ICOs, to STOs, IEOs, and other hybrid forms, as businesses look for the ‘silver bullet’ which will produce the most effective investment. He even changed the name of his communication channel to reflect these new developments.
As methodologies of fundraising is an area I am particularly interested in, I was pleased to be invited onto iBlock TV, to be questioned about how I see the future of investment in startup businesses. I outlined some of the changes I have observed from circling the globe during 2018, and talking with a lot of people from both sides of the investment fence. I also made some predictions about where things are going – particularly when crypto comes into widespread use, rather than just as an investment medium.
We had a lively discussion which I believe underscored some of the recent changes, but what hasn’t changed is my view that attracting investment is a process, which if taken step-by-step, and made educative will always succeed in finding the right investors for a business.
