An article by the Economer dated September 1, 1988 entitled "Ready for the birth of the Phoenix" may have predicted the advent of Bitcoin and the boom of cryptocurrencies in 2018.
Digital coins are on the crest of the wave and have just happened to grow and double their value. But a cover story published thirty years ago on the English magazine The Economist may have been prophetic. On the cover is only once, which could represent today's blockchain, with a coin that may resemble more popular cryptocurrencies, the Bitcoin. The thing is more intriguing of the question is that on the token was stamped the year 2018.
It is interesting to note that the article, released at a time when the world was completely different from today, discussed the advent of a completely new, global currency, just like the rising phoenix born of the ashes of traditional economy.
