NiceHash has returned after a hack resulting in a loss of 4,700 bitcoin (approx. $70,000,000 est value)
This morning NiceHash users received an email stating: "We are happy to announce that the relaunch of the NiceHash platform was successful." I guess I didn't expect them to be back up and running so soon. The email goes on to explain the relaunch and provides a link to a read more page posted today. "Now that the site is back online, you are free to lease, mine and make money once more. Our community is very important to us and given the loyalty of our users, we want to make sure that everyone is fully reimbursed after what happened. This has been under discussion since the day of the hack."
"We have now been able to reserve the funds required to restore balances from a group of international investors in our business. The exact date of reimbursement for old balances will be announced by January 31, 2018. We need this interim period to ensure all legal paperwork is processed correctly, so please be patient while we do this."
The willingness to reimburse users came as a shock to me. Now let's just hope they follow through with it.

While NiceHash did lose a majority of users trust from the hack, this is a prime example of how to make a solid comeback. Users will forget, new users will flock. I just hope that external wallets will be fully reimbursed at the same time as the internal wallets.

Good on NiceHash. It's kind of shocking (in a good way) to see a company in the crypto space take responsibility like this. I've also heard that since the refresh, you're able to make more per day because the masses haven't yet returned to the platform. It may be a good window to make some more -than-usual profits until the word gets out fully.

That's a really good point of view that I hadn't considered. Do you know where you heard that info from? I'd like to look into it more myself.
