Its obvious crypto currency offers a unique deviation from traditional finance which is undeniable attractive on the surface. but the other part of it means everyone involve would need a steep learning curve else they will be holding a time bomb and will never reap the good side of crypto
i was once added to a crypto community and i casually watched how some bad actors were choreographing a hook conversation which ended with a link. i was using a pc so i hovered my mouse and saw the actual link and just DYOR about it. it ended in a phishing site... a cheap replica to get folks to use their original signing in.
i raised an alarm and i was booted out.
i just feel it will be tough for older non-tech guys to embrace crypto without falling for these tricks. It's not to say there aren't useful groups out there
Cos i have also been in the right communities that have helped me build a better portfolio... Like the BTC and ETH group I've been in for years now and the BGB Holders group I joined recently.
apart from valuable insights, I've even gotten airdrops just for being in some groups while others like BGB give loyalty bonuses to their token believers
thing like these keep the crypto community buzzing with things that you will never find in TradFi.
have you ever been booted out of a group for such?
