Hello,

With an background in IT security, I want to make everyone aware of some simple advice.

  1. Always use a unique password on your email versus other sites. Use for example https://haveibeenpwned.com/ and check your email for known hacks/data leaks, you will probably be surprised.

  2. Please use some kind of complexity to your passwords, minimum 10 characters. Don't take the easy route with a password almost identical to your other passwords.

  3. Two factor authentication. If you choose google auth I would recommend a offline paper copy of the private key or alternatively a second mobile. You don't wanna hassle with the exchanges if you loose your phone.

  4. Only keep what you are trading on exchanges. If you bags are heavy and by no meaning want to look at a wallet/offline storage, spread it out between different exchanges.

It's our money we are protecting here, so get at it!

Their will be more parts on security, wallets, offline storage and staking soon. More in depth, tips and tricks, what to lookout for and more technical. I just wanted to cover some basics before we proceed.

Over and out,
Murmel
