When you say P2P, you mean that I can send STEEM (or whatever) to other users of MetalPay inside the MetalPay app, correct?

It does not mean I can send STEEM from my MetalPay app to a random external STEEM address, right?

    Currently, this feature only supports payments between Metal Pay app users. We are working to bring mainnet transactions to a future update, so you can transfer cryptos to external addresses.
