Interesting trend indeed! When crisis comes, all asset classes become correlated so many should be on the lookout to protect their capital first then think of growing.

Correct. Gold is catching a bid as of late. Perhaps bitcoin will serve as a safe haven as well.

As the traditional financial markets struggle in 2019, I don't think investors will pile into a crypto industry that has tanked in the last year. They should, but the masses are not yet educated enough nor do they know how to properly value crypto assets.
