What is CoinPoker? According to www.coinpoker.com, 'CoinPoker is a poker room built on blockchain technology' that introduces its own currency, the CHP. They say they're the future. Some call it a SCAM. Merriam-Webster defines SCAM as 'a deceptive act or operation'. Now let's look at the facts. Is CoinPoker that?
First of all, CoinPoker provides a platform for the poker players to play on. A functional platform. It's a Beta platform at the moment. There are plenty of issues, no doubt, but at the same time the platform offers a lot of free rollers as well as lower or higher buy in tournament and cash games. They have a hard working team that tries to improve on a daily basis.
Second, they offer you the opportunity to be in control of your own money. I myself am a poker player. I've played on 888, I've played on Poker Stars, and I've played on Party Poker. I live in Japan, and gambling is illegal here. While there are ways around it, it's extremely hard to buy in and cash out. It's so difficult, some poker players will actually pay an agent 10% commission to help them buy in or cash out. Ridiculous, right? Again, there are ways around it, but it's a pain in the neck, a plop in the flop. With CoinPoker you can easily buy in and cash out. No more headaches and sleepless nights, baby!
Third, you can play on the platform from anywhere in the world. Yep. you heard me. I mean, you read me. Anywhere in the world. One of the most frustrating moments of my not so bright poker career was when I had to go back to Europe and couldn't log into my Poker Stars account. The reason? To protect you from hackers. Well, how about I protect myself from hackers and you let me play some goddamn poker, dammit? I ended up creating a second Poker Stars account. When I came back to Japan, I was a lucky man. I had 2 Poker Stars accounts.
Fourth, let's not forget the people behind the project. Real people. People who have a reputation to protect: Isabelle Mercier and Tony G, both amazing poker players and business people. If you call CoinPoker a scam, then you're calling them scam artists. Even though there have been some players who have called this project a scam, I noticed they had something in common. They either had a business that would profit from CoinPoker's failure, or they were friends with the people who had that business. I'd rather give no names, since that would be free publicity for those people, and publicity was what they were after in the first place.
In conclusion, CoinPoker is a legit project that tries to offer real solutions to the problems encountered in online poker. You can call it whatever you want. Call it a SCAM as long as it helps you sleep better at night.

Disclaimer 1: I am invested in CoinPoker, and I might even have a certain position in the company. I started as a supporter who was extremely excited about the project. I see the amount of time and effort the team puts in every day, and I have no doubt that this is going to be a success. Welcome aboard!
Disclaimer 2: The views expressed in this article are my own, and they neither represent the CoinPoker project, nor are they endorsed by them.
Disclaimer 3. I'm not a financial advisor, so if you do decide to invest in CoinPoker, you do it at your own risk. The crypto currency market is extremely volatile, and a bad investment could lose you your money.
Yeah, the argument is, "This one's gonna fail because all the other crypto poker ventures have failed". But people just need to see for themselves that CoinPoker has a really good team and a really good software unlike the rest.
I have a feeling this one has a big future.

That makes two of us. They have a big head start considering that right now they have no competition.
