HoNeStY:-A rare virtues in most HUMAN(Be ware of scammers) part 2

in crypto •  7 years ago  (edited)

HoNeStY what a rare virtue in this our present human world. Where Lie's, dishonesty, bridge of trust, scam, phishing, money laundry, robbery, hacking and all sorts of every unimaginable evil act is the watch world of the day. When I was in secondary school there was a debate on a topic "Has civilization brought much good or evil? I want everyone to answer this question also, let make it an argumentative debate on the comment box, your comment will be appreciated.

It was never in my plan to make the part two (2) of this post, but the secret behind this post is that I HAVE JUST BEEN SCAM! It was really a bad experience, but I will be sharing it here on this post with everybody. About a month ago i make a post on the new technics use by scammers to defraud steemians. How it all started.

ON 13/11/2017 A DAY I WILL NEVER FORGET

On Monday November 2017 at about 7:45pm,after the whole day work, I was tired from all the day work, but I can't go to bed without a visit to my steemit blog account,at list to upvote good content post and also to make some useful comments on some other post. After all set and done,I decided to make a unique post something different. After mush thinking, I decided to write on that topic " HoNeStY" not knowing what lay ahead of me

The Yoruba elders has this to say,as a word of an elder

iriri lo je ko ju agba jin (meaning:- it's experience that makes the eye's of an elderly person deep).

With passion and zeal within me I was able to make that post,so as to teach and other's to learn good virtues. After the whole time spent on steemit,I move down to crypto world to check how far I have made and how crypto coin are pumping up. I was having some little financial things to meet up with, I decided to sell some of my bitcoin to meet up with those financial circumstances.

I made it public and many people where willing to buy it,the first buyer was ready to buy it but the term of trade was what made the transaction void. He was asking me to send the btc before payment so I disagreed with him. The second person was an old time friend online who usually buy steem and SBD, he was willing to buy it at 355$ when I was willing to sell at 365$ just 10$ difference, so as to meet up with the situation on ground. I was not having any steem or SBD to sell at that point and the only way was my bitcoin.

Let me qoute another Yoruba adage

ibi ko ni se agba koma sa nifiri (meaning evil omens will not happen to an elderly person without him been aware of it)

Then the third person who is willing to buy my bitcoin show up (the scammer). He was willing to buy it at 365$ ,I was willing to sell just 51$ worth of btc which was around (18,000+) in naira. I was about to send it ,then I discovered the transaction fee was high. I informed him, because block chain was asking for half of the btc to confirmed the transaction. Wow I was on able to bear it,so I have to canceled the transaction. Hmm,the story is getting more and more hotter, let go on another proverb,I love proverbs, qoute, elders saying, adages, and Bible verses.

ifun ra logun agba (meaning been careful and caution is the medicine or charm of an elderly man)

I was left without choice but to accept and send the bitcoin even at such high fee for transaction. I told him let use escrow, then an admi of the group escrow the transaction, I fulfil my side of the bargain, he confirmed it and the next thing I discovered was,hmm breathing deep,I was deleted from the group. The person that escrow and the scammer of a guy are both together. The next line of action was to contact the buyer,as I login to his contact it reads that it has be long he login on telegram. Wow was a pro in making and a smart guy for that matter. He did everything without leaving a trace and smart I can say. I managed to sleep through the whole night expecting alert but till now not yet, except messages of buy your caller tune from this telecommunications people.this is a screenshot pic on the last login of that scammer. I try to report him on telegram, but immediately I click on it,his account got deleted on my phone. If anyone has a way to get this guy I will be happy. But I have moved on not on the spot where the incident happen

DAVID BRINKLEY SAYS:

"A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that other throw at him or her"

I am laying a firm foundation from what I was throw at me,this is a noted of warning to everyone, beware of scammer, they are everywhere like Ebola virus. One day nemeses will catch up with them

Am happy this month is a bless month to me here on steemit I made a transaction of 5 steem to airhawk-project who escrow the transaction and I was paid. All thanks to them, they make it easy for us to sell our steem and SBD into naira, and aso I have clock 300+ follower's with 50 reputation, I think that is a great achievement but though with less steem power. That is what I have to work upon. At least to make my vote count on people post. Where people will always look for just an upvote from me,like they look up to @curie, @airhawk-projet, @whales and the rest. The best is yet to come.

Scammers everywhere. When it happened to me, I nearly did not wake up.

Yes,it was a big time shock to me,because i really need the money then to meet up with some finacial needs and the scammer just did that to me.

Nawao! Scammers scamming everywhere. Sorry about the incident. We all have learnt a great lesson. Even escrows can be scammers too. So we ought to be careful who we deal with.

These days there are a lot of safe ways to sell/buy crypto without loosing:

  1. Convert btc to steem/sbd and sell on Airhawk-projects exchange
  2. Use Luno wallet. Transfer your btc there and exchange for Naira instantly.
  3. Use remitano.com to exchange with other reputable people. They serve as escrow.
  4. Do a physical transaction with the person.

May we continue to gain and not lose!

#Hug-Challenge!

Thanks,i have learnt my lesson in a hard way

The Bible says: tell the wicked it shall not be well with them. Love you all.

It shall really not be well with them. sorry for your loss. It's just to make you stronger and learn from it.

I was scammed also last year when I wanted to buy a pulpit for my church. It was really painful because I had been saving the money for long.

Thanks for sharing and nice meeting you.

@seyiodus

Thanks @seyiodus,life itself is a lesson to learn from. As each day goes by,we just have to learn something, either from what happen to you or from what happen to others, life is in two faces.

Scammers are not even afraid anymore, they don't give a dam,if the money belongs to God or not. I have this adage for them.

ohun to dun lo ma pa ewure. Meaning what is sweet kills the goat. I think u must be a yoruba girl.

Yes I am. Thanks.

Are u a yoruba girl.
