Jamie Dimon Calling bitcoin a 'fraud'

in crypto •  7 years ago  (edited)

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon isn't a fan of bitcoin ...as he was asked about his thoughts on cryptocurrency recently and he had this to say..

"Dimon said at an investment conference that the digital currency was a "fraud" and that his firm would fire anyone at the bank that traded it "in a second."

"Dimon, speaking at a Barclays investment conference Tuesday, said he supported blockchain technology for tracking payments but that trading bitcoin itself was against the bank's rules. He added that bitcoin was "stupid" and "far too dangerous."

He's shorting Bitcoin, producing FUD and has an immense buy waiting at 2500. This guy is as shady and greedy as they get

Agree totally. Plus this tulip comparison thing does not seem very accurate ... just saw this post rips that comparison right up.

Also Jaime is involved with ethereum as well. He's producing g a coin in the eth chain.

Well, in fairness, he did say Bitcoin - he did not say blockchain or the underlying technologies were a fraud. And from what I can tell the ethereum alliance that JP Morgan are part of which includes 500 companies is not producing a coin per say. It is this:

Appreciate the comment and triggering me to look and get more facts.

In a way he's right, but not quite. That is, the people who created crypto-currencies like the BTC simply created money out of nothing, it's like they printed more money but with their face.

Now, bankers are other corrupt ones, so I find it a bit cheeky.

After all, I prefer crypto-currencies since people have much more power, freedom and less regulation.

=creating money out of nothing.. nobody does it like the corrupt federal reserve

This guy is going to hell. Ask him about JP's silver hodling. The scary thing is that he could probably start the process to outlaw BTC. He did reference BTC to drug dealers and murderers. I think the Equinox breach is a ploy. There was a breach but WTF would demand bitcoin? If I were able to hack a system like Equinox, I would probably demand dash or XMR.
