Beware of NIBEX and NERO scam!!!!steemCreated with Sketch.

Hello everyone,

I was recently approached by Discord direct DM to participate in buying a node for NERO and then a few days later for NIBEX. I found it suspicious that there was no whitepaper despite farfetched claims on the bitcointalk threads for both cryptos.

Also, both projects were giving off similar vibes.

Similarities

  • They both use the same algorithm, X11
  • Roadmaps have a similar feel to them
  • Websites are strikingly similar.
  • They have no white paper
  • Both claim to be stable coins and yet no mechanism is explained
  • Both are pre-selling nodes
  • Best of all, both websites are registered with WhoisGuard, most likely to hide that the same person/org owns both websites
  • Even better, both websites were created 1 hour apart.

Too much coincidence? Maybe, so I took screenshots. Judge by yourself.

The other 2 websites seem to be mirror websites for Nero containing the same webpages.

Conclusion

Maybe it's all a coincidence but judging how both domains were created minutes apart and the similarities in both websites and the lack of a white paper leads me to believe that the projects are run by the same person/org.

Not having a whitepaper is the most important clue. A whitepaper is hard work. It is easy to fake but to make 2 independent non-identical white papers would be very hard. If they just copied other white papers they would be found out faster.

In conclusion, all those facts point to the possibility of a scam.
