The 411 on Paper Wallets

in crypto •  6 years ago

As hackers are becoming better and better at stealing information, looking for vulnerabilities everywhere so they can steal coins it's becoming harder to keep wallets safe, to keep private keys private. It's a constant conscious effort, and it is exhausting.

One of the things I hear a lot is that paper wallets are safer. Are they really? Well, I decided to spend some time looking at how they work to see it was something I could adopt. I came across this video by Andreas Antonopolos. If you don't know who he is, you really need to look him up and follow his YouTube channel.

Here is a video he did on paper wallets that explains simply how they work, why they're safe when used correctly and lengths you have to go through to actually create and maintain one. Very useful information.

and on that note,... paper wallets are really not for me.
Next, research on hardware wallets.
