Supernal Crypto Analysis: Topchain, Bitcoin God & Tierion

in crypto •  7 years ago

What do I look for in a crypto-asset?

Coin Cap
24hour-7day Volume
1month-6month Chart
Website, Reddit, Slack, Discord
What’s the tech?
Token/Coin use-case; Value or Functionality?
Community involvement. 3rd-party devs, Github, Bounty-program
Transparency
Developer track-record. Red flags?
Which exchanges.

Take a look at Topchain

Notes:

OKEX exchange. Seems to be korean focused. Cant trade to US yet..weird but probably a legal thing.
Considering the volume it may be considered a store of value, maybe not long-term as it’s new but certainly short-term.
If transaction time and cost is lesser than bitcoin, it would be a likely candidate for people to shift into as a store of value.
Singapore based, valuable for the lack of coins in that region and the varied marketplace. Region has its affects at the start but will become meaningless later as it opens up to the global communities, hits more exchanges etc.
2.1 billion coins in total. Not as bad as some others with 10+ billion but still a large amount, giving the coin a low cost-per-coin at the start.
Gaming based-community. Maybe solving or altering the affects of Steam and other gaming distributors? Not much info yet, but it is something to keep an eye on.

Take a look at Bitcoin God

Notes:

Gate.io exchange. Seemingly low volume but it is brand new so, will get more exposure over time as it hits more exchanges.
Airdropped to a lot of BTC holders and is meant for charitable means. Only 21million coins total? PoS mining so coins will come out slowly, but solves the need for a good rig to obtain more and PoS is the future.
Community governance?
Website has good info, easily communicated. Zero-knowledge proofs, large block size, lightning-network (eh).
Nice roadmap, 2018 is their year. Smart contracts by Q2, network launch on Q1, zero-knowledge-proofs on Q3. DApp on Mobius network. Mobius is great so far, good cohesion there.
Good feeling for this one. If there’s a significant volume shift, could have a lot of value transfered to it. Take a dive and watch for when it hits other exchanges.

Take a look at Tierion

Notes:

Binance & Hitbtc. Slick volume and has been around for 3 months or so. Has recovered, some what, from the January ‘18 crash.
Networks with nodes that need 5,000 TNT to be staked to run. Has a payout of 1250 TNT randomly distributed ( unsure of the details on this mechanism but is likely similar to most PoS nodes).
Associated with Microsoft and the Identity Foundation. This is valuable in my eyes and others with consideration towards established business backing it and the identity layer of blockchain systems. Good stuff there!
Uses a chainpoint node. Very low hardware requirements, easy setup on Ubuntu. Nice!
A lot of potential here, I would suggest getting into it and setup a node if you can as that potential 1250~ reward could be worth serious dosh$.

Consensus: Topchain is still an "if" but could have potential; it's a little messy right now but i'd keep my eye on it. Bitcoin God and Tierion are awesome, I plan on getting some soon :)

This is essentially how I research and look into assets. If you're curious about a certain asset, let me know and i'd be happy to oblige you with some notes of my own :D
