Business across several industries have been making the move to accept cryptocurrency as an alternative payment method to fiat. The adult industry, never one to be left behind when it comes to tech innovations, is on it.
Nick Blomgren, Las Vegas business man and martial arts master has trying to incorporate cryptocurrencies into business for a while now. Blomgren originally wanted to open a fight company, mixed martial arts gym but ultimately decided a strip club would be more profitable.
Last year Bomgren opened, The Legends Room. The Legends Room strip club is on Valley View Blvd on Las Vegas and hosts some of the most prominent adult entertainers like Jesse Jane, London Keyes, and Tasha Reign.
On the FAQ section of The Legends Room Website:
Blomgren laughs while stating one of the best reasons to use crypto in a strip club is so your spouse will not know, as cryptocurrencies are anonymous and will not show up on a bank statement.
Customers who are already owners of cryptocurrency can pay for drinks, dances, and tips directly from their crypto wallets. The club also has an ATM where coins can be bought. Customers will be able to send transactions using a long code from their phones or directly scan temporary QR tattoos that the girls are wearing.
The strippers at The Legends Room say they love the fact that accepting payments in crypto is anonymous and peer-to-peer since some banks have shut down their accounts solely for working in the adult industry. JP Morgan Chase has an anti-adult industry stance and will close an account, even if all monies are earned legally (meaning income is filed and taxes are being paid).
