Ever wonder what happened to this guy?
Okay, probably not, but after the split of the viral rap duo LMFAO (featuring RedFoo and his nephew SkyBlu) split in 2012, rapper Redfoo has been staying busy with different music and business ventures. It seems Redfoo, who describes himself as a coder and blockchain fan, has made his way into the crypto scene as he has signed a contract with TokenStars.
A blockchain-based celebrity management platform that applies decentralized scouting and community voting to ensure transparent engagement for millions of users: celebrities + fans + brands & advertisers.
Redfoo has signed on with the TokenStars organization as an adviser, as well as an active "star" on the platform.
The TokenStar project currently has other celebrity ambassadors signed on like Vinny Lingham, Lothar Matthaus, Tommy Haas, Gianluca Zambrotta, and several more.
One of the first modules TokenStars has launched on their blockchain platform is the TokenStars Charity Auction. Fans are able to bid with crypto tokens and win exclusive items from their favorite celebrities, with all proceeds going to charity. New TokenStar Redfoo has already jumped in on the action and now you can finally get signed LMFAO memorabilia!
If pop music isn't your thing, there are many other athletes and celebrities auctioning off their memorabilia. Crypto fans are not forgotten as one of their most recent auctions was everyone's favorite "bitcoin evangelist" Roger Ver, who's signed t-shirt was sold to the higher bidder for $155.00.
The TokenStars project has had a slow start warming up to the crypto community, maybe their recent on-boarding of celebrity ambassadors and partnerships will help them get the ball rolling. They have extended the crowdsale for their TEAM token til March 28th.
