in crypto •  7 years ago

In an official statement from the Ripple team, the developers of the XRP cryptocurrency, published on May 31, have announced a new update for the server implementation of their network.
This implementation is called Rippled, and according to this official release its new version 1.0.0 is now available to all operators of the Ripple network. This would be the first alpha and stable version of this software.
No specific details were offered about the type of improvements that were made in this update.

Rippled basically works as the P2P server software of the Ripple network, is written in the C ++ language and fulfills the functions of acting as a line tool to issue RPC commands to a server, validate the accounting books of the network, facilitate the communication in the network, act as a PoW server, among other functions.

It should be noted that the Ripple team suggests to all those who operate servers in this network to update the new version of Rippled no later than next Thursday, June 14, in order to guarantee the continuity of the service.

It is interesting to mention that the Ripple team encourages the revision of the Rippled codes through its program of rewards for bugs, where users who find possible problems, vulnerabilities or exploits in the software of Ripple will be rewarded by the company.
Ripple is a blockchain focused on facilitating services and connecting with the international financial system. A few weeks ago this team published the first results of its xRapid pilot program, which reduced, as they claim, the commissions on cross-border payments between 40% and 70%.
