What is gems?
Gems is a project creating a decentralized mechanical turk.
What is mechanical turk?
Mirco task needed for any small or big businesses where a human brain is needed. Micro tasks like arranging database, or labeling things to their appropriate pictures or objects, etc.. This is called a mechanical turk.
How does blockchain fit into this project?
Thanks to blockchain, the middleman is eliminated. This means reduced costs for the work provider and also improved pay for the workers. Because blockchains are permissionless, anyone in the world (even the unbanked) can start working and getting paid right away.
Why is a mechanical turk important?
Deep learning and advanced algorithms like AI needs training. Human judgement is required for this, so a decentralized mechanical turk will likely take a key position in the future for this purpose.
