A couple months ago a few fellow crypto-enthusiasts and I started hosting educational events at a local coworking space once a month. It started out with 6 or 7 of your average nerdy crowd of cryptocurrency Libertarian geeks - but by December 2017, just 3 months later our turnouts skyrocketed to over 100 people.
This was how I knew the cryptocurrency craze was here to stay. Comicon is a place where likeminded people get to gather to talk about their favorite comic/anime related topics and even dress like them as well. My idea was to create a CryptoCon with the same concept (minus dressing in Vitalik's famous horse and UFO tee shirt) image a place where enthusiasts of this passionate niche could all network and listen to brilliant speakers discuss the future of this disruptive space.
Well a good friend of mine took it upon himself - the sneaky little bastard he is - to actually legally trademark the name CryptoCon and left it up to me to create the movement with zero event planning background.
