Sport For the People!

Sports are an integral part of societies all around the world. Most people have participated in some type of sport several times in their lives. Billions of games are played in local neighborhoods before and after school. Schoolkids emulating their favorite players scoring the Golden goal of a major championship. Whatever the game, there are thousands, if not millions, that participate in sports for exercise, fun, or money.

The nature of competitive sports tends to naturally sift out the truly dedicated athletes; most of us choose to participate casually, socially, or even better, electronically, lol. Even those with the athletic ability and dedication to train and improve find that they need even more to be successful. They need resources, well, Money. Equipment, tournament fees, travel, and expenses derail many aspiring athletes. In order to become a world class athlete you need financial backing. In Q1 2018 SportyFi plans to offer a solution when it launches the SportyFi Smart Manager Platform.

SportyFi‘s Smart Manager Platform will enable donations, detailed sponsorship smart contracts of various types, as well as complex investment smart contracts, where an athlete, a club or another sports organization will offer a long-term deal for a share of their future income or other revenue stream in exchange for an upfront investment.

This is a platform that certainly fills a need. Youth leagues, semi-pro organizations, major world leagues, and individuals will be able to register for free on the Smart Manager Platform. Every sport in the world would hypothetically be represented. I see this project helping athletes that participate in solo sports, or sports that aren't funded by their school. Not much is free in this world and there is a commitment that each athlete/club/organization must make to their supporters. It appears that this would be sharing a portion of winnings, sponsorships, or some other negotiated agreement.

According to their whitepaper, The SportyFi Professional Fund will be released Q2 2018.

The fund will invest in those athletes with the greatest potential in exchange for future return, based on, for example, prize money, image rights, transfer fees, and other rights of an athlete, depending on the type of sport.

I must admit that I've been a fan of sports my entire life. I still enjoy playing golf as often as I can and I really enjoy attending live sporting events. I hear about the big contracts and endorsements that professional athletes receive; but never paid any mind to how that side of sports operated. Per SportyFi, the majority of sports management opportunities are handled by a small amount of established and well funded firms. Most individuals have no way to invest in the growth of their favorite teams or individual athletes. Earning potential interest on that investment as you root your favorite team or player to victory.

SportyFi has already secured endorsement deals with two well known personalities, Roberto Carlos and Ronaldinho. They are great ambassadors for any new venture! Their international appeal and popularity will certainly bring attention to the SportyFi Professional Fund. Though this project is not going to hit the market until later in the year, I'm excited to see how it will work in real time.

I am not familiar with the business history of the management team, but they were able to complete a successful ICO in November 2017. There is a comparatively limited circulating supply of 48 Million SPF, the Token of the SportyFi platform, and they are currently listed on three exchanges including Livecoin.

Due to the HUGE drop in the crypto currency market today, SportyFi is currently trading at 10 cents per coin! This is an extremely ambitious project that has the potential to change an entire industry. There is an inherent utility to the platform and I see the benefits for athletes, teams, organizations, and fans! If the management team is able to execute their gameplan, SportyFi, will be worth more than 10 cents in 12 months.
