Introduction

The advent of internet and programming ushered in lots of creativity on the part of humankind especially for those who are tech savvy. This has resulted in proliferation of several applications which serve different purposes for different companies, individuals and associations. App developers however do not always find it rosy in building those apps we use. There are lots of challenges and less than perfect condition which would be revealed in the course of this treatise. I shall introduce you to a system that will assist companies who are specialized in tech services and also their clients including users to have an experience devoid of these challenges, let us take a walk to the land of Buddy

What is Buddy?

Buddy is a system built on the blockchain technology that aims to redefine application development and deployment devoid of significant challenges.

There are many parts or areas a developer has to work on in the process of app development. Sometimes, it requires the concerted effort of a ream of developers to build an app. The boring and difficult areas of app development is are what Buddy is taking care of thereby making the work less herculean, less time-wasting as well as more profitable for the developers. There are equally admirable benefits for users too.

How does Buddy achieve this, let's take a gander.

DevOps Marketplace

We all are very much acquainted with google play store. We get the apps we want from there, yeah? Now picture DevOps Marketplace in that light. Here, developers are exposed to wide range of scripts they can use to develop apps of their choice. All they have to do is to make selection. Good news is that these scripts are not paid for all the time. Some are free! It does not end there, a developer may wish to submit scripts which others can use for their own work(App development). Depending on choice, the submitted script will be exchanged for BUD token thereby helping the developer to earn money. Alternatively, if the developer is magnanimous enough, he may wish to make it free.

DevOps marketplace is curated to maintain standard and ensure sub-standard codes do not infiltrate into the system. This curation of the DevOps marketplace also serves as a check against intellectual theft. Thus, the system does not create room or tolerate plagiarism. Originality and quality which are necessary for growth of every system are maintained.

BlockchainOps

These are in-built automation scripts on the blockchain project. This means they are already existing in the platform. They consist of maintenance and deployment tools that will ensure the developer does not waste his time doing same tasks repeatedly.

BlockchainOps already supports EOS and pretty soon, others such as ETH, NEO, ICX, TRX, NEM ect will be supported too. Buddy aims to enable efficient development across all blockchains!

In addition to easement of tasks for developers, BlockchainOps new developers to enter the realm of blockchain development by encouraging mass adoption.

Private Automation GRID

The Private Automation Grid enables the running of private Buddy instances. This is the component of Buddy that enables scalability. It does this by making use of auto-discovery and replication. In essence, Buddy offers automation process that can be run locally or privately.

Buddy also removes instances that are not needed in the system. This frees the system of otiose and cumbersome instances. Buddy achieves this in consonance with trusted nodes such as google cloud, AWS, etc.

BUDDY can end instances that are no longer required, so as to keep up with the load on the system. BUDDY does this by making use of integrations with IaaS providers such as AWS, google cloud, or any other BUDDY GRIDs that are trusted and provided by BUDDY and/or its certified partners.

From our discussion thus so far, we can see that the private automation grid has enabled a high availability auto-scalable infrastructure, with the user fully in control.

Shared Automation GRID

This allows users in the platform to share resources. When a user wants to complete a task but does not have the required resources, With the shared automation Grid, the task can be run by other nodes (users) that have the resources readily available. So the platform encourages pool of resources and also lending a helping hand to the members of its community.

Both shared and private automation GRIDs can be made to work together. A good example is in test-running a product or software. The deployment can be done using private automation grid and is then distributed to other nodes (shared automation GRID) thereby enabling the test to be run and completed on time as well.

BUD Token

The economy of Buddy is run with the BUD Token.

Developers will use BUD Token to make purchases from the automation market as well as utilize the Automation GRIDs. There are many developers in the platform already who are carrying out their projects daily. Developers market their works using the token. Users assess or pay for these works using the tokens as well. This is basically how the exchange in the platform occurs.

By joining the platform, a use can equally act as a node for the Automation GRID. This means that such a user's system will be incorporated for the developers to use to run tasks. In return, the user will be adequately compensated. Succinctly put, users can earn money just by being active in the platform. You must not be a developer before you earn.

Partnership

Buddy has partnered with successful companies such as Google cloud, Azure, Github, Dockerstore, etc. More partnership are still on the way.
