Crypto Africa is the name I choose for my post of Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency adoption across Africa.
With this edition, I talk about IBM implementing Blockchain technology to combat fake medicine in Africa.

IBM is building a blockchain aimed at tracking the authenticity of drugs in Africa. To ensure this technology in implemented through out Africa, IBM is set to get into partnership with different enterprises and African governments.
This Blockchain is backed by a permission ledger and it will also have a good mobile interface to ensure validation of transactions on the shared ledger.

Fake drugs is a big part of the pharmaceutical industry. According to World Health Organization (WHO), fake drugs make up 30% of the total African supply and accounts to over one hundred thousand (100,000) deaths in Africa.
