Animated Above, Still Below, title: Invited (V2 and V1)
Animated Above, Still Below, title: Educated (V2 and V1)
.... Info Time :), as promised, but first a message from our sponsors: "purchasable on http://SuperRare.co/LoveArtHate , thanks, back to you bob."
Series name choice: At first I was going to go with Named Demons, then to Risen Angels, then to Faces of Spirits, and decided on "if Angels," which allowed me to play with the title of each piece that then would add something to the entire series. IE; if Angels "Invited", or "Educated", etc.
Process of creation~
Drawing (Physical): We used charcoal which is my favorite tool to draw with of all time onto a fragile newspaper print paper which gives the piece more vulnerability. Technique is dubbed as "automatic" or "subconscious" drawing. Something which I've been studying for six years now of shape, form, light, intersection, details, and many of the fundamentals of art creation while being able to simple not have any control or idea of what I'm creating.
Animating (Digital): Everything was done on a smartphone. It's incredible what's possible with the technology these days. Began editing on old school vhs tapes in highschool in audio visual club, then on premiere, my mind was blown.
Uploading (Place to Purchase): Chose SuperRare for most of my animated pieces or test experiments as I enjoy their brand identity of only allowing 1/1 edition pieces. Also on MakersPlace for other types of work which are equally cool to me, but to allow all audiences the opportunity to support/own. Both markets add to the feel of owning a rare piece of digitally certified piece by the artist.
Marketing~
Info: Creating a template for uploading these was something that I built upon throughout the years, and will constantly change. There's always more info to add, it's finding the correct balance for each series.
Audiences: This series is very heavily geared towards the macabre audience. My other audiences are synth and glitch. I suppose PopSurrealism very loosely falls into this category and perhaps expressionism and futurism. Oh yeah, anyone who has any ethereum or cryptocurrencies out there.
Channels: Marketing on all different channels has exponential varying ways of execution. Being specific, setting up automated software, who is most likely to purchase, or a place for just exposure. In my personal opinion a mix of all of these tactics are necessary. However after testing a few of them, most of my time (80%) is dedicated to tailored posts to a few channels then the rest to mass audience channels. This also switches sometimes, but generally that's my rule. Finding the correct way to automate is also an art form (12 years digital marketing experience, used to manage one of the worlds largest sports apparel companies social media across all their product lines). Marketing is almost as much an art form for me as the creation process. A word of note, a week ago I was 80% automation and a bit on specific channel. Gotta find that sweet sweet 50/50 balance and get that honey.
