Crypto Banks- Really?

in cryptobanks •  7 years ago  (edited)

Do you still remember the bank-free ideal of the first bitcoiners? It was not all about money in the first place, it was mostly an ideological undertaking to take down the global banking system.

Satoshi Nakamoto build a system permitting people to transfer money to one another online, directly, anonymously and outside banks and government control.

Not ten years later I come across the first digital bank worldwide, called Polybius. The bank is just in the process of launching by raising investments using the most convenient and technologically advanced mechanism – the ICO. In the beginning 20% of Polybius Bank profit was shared among Dividend Token holders...

Polybius is a project aimed to create a regulated bank for the digital generation

Even big banks like Deutsche Bank, Central Bank of Russia and China conidering creating their own digital currencies. They think central banks are better able to deliver price stability than a rigid monetary rule or an algorithm.

What do you think about it? Does the idea of a regulated bank contradict with the philosophy of cryptocurrency? Who than takes care of the business? What will your invested money be used for...?

I think it gives us the best of both worlds. It gives us the ability to easily store bitcoin safely within government regulations, together with access to fiat transactions. But we don't have to if we don't want that.

Different people use bitcoin for different reasons. And, IF you trust the government not interfere with your bank account, it gives people more choice.

The only problem I can see is when the government makes it mandatory to register all your bitcoin holdings and pay tax on them. A bitcoin banking system will make it easier for them to do this.

Thanks. Good points. Concerning mandatory registration, I think as long as we are free to use different wallets it shouln't be a problem.

Banks are here to stay. I even doubt whether Cryptocurriencies are product of central bank itself... Its just my thought

Seems that the appearance of crypto money is a bit cloudy, however the time for it was just right. It is comparable with the appearance of Germany's NOTGELD, when the offical money was not trustworthy anymore. And this surrogate money was not issued by the government.

Aha.... Yes it seems it's the time of cryptocurrencies 😎

I dont know but its not bad idea i think!!

I hate it ! ... the days or centralization and regulation are over ... they will have to accept that sooner or later.

Not sure, history has proven what first appeares as a freakish alternative becomes one day mainstream.

The bankers dont need my money to work with. They are mostly leaches. I love that crypto makes me the bank! I cant stand it when a bank tells me I cant withdraw my money because they dont have it ! They will try to use the technology to continue the slave trade meaning us being the slaves. Bankers should be a term that my grand kids never here.

For some reason I am unable to upvote your comment. Thanks anyway !

I am not sure why? This system is glitchy still!
