Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile medium of investment - more than stocks and forex. This volatility is mainly dependent upon the people's perception of the events going on in the world. It is not wrong to say that actual events may not be that much harmful as the perception itself. Same thing happened in November when Feds started to worried about inflation. Same thing happened when the one of the biggest construction developer Evergrande was heard to be on the verge of default. The volatility of crypto is dependent upon stock market. The stock trends directly effect crypto trends. In short, stock market runs crypto market.
