Only in a sense that bitcoin brings new investors to the crypto market. Most investors don't find out about alt coins until after first learning and investing in bitcoin. The fluctuations when bitcoin surges and alts drop are just day traders trying to make more profit. Many of whom actually lose trying to time the market.
the reason for my questions is while BTC falls, I'm also seeing other cryptos are getting down along.. But is there a possibility for ALTCOINS growth when BTC dies?.. i guess again i came my original question ...
I dont think so.
When bitcoin drops, some coins continue to grow.
I think a few of them will continue to move on, in their own direction, regardless of what Bitcoin does.
I guess it all depends on how may people find the coin useful, or has the potential for growth in the future.

I Dont think so. But we are forced to buy bitcoins to buy most of the other cryptos so might be there is some tie up between them!
