You might notice a trend in today's Crypto Digest. It's not all rosy in the crypto world. Or, to say the least, our rose bush just might have some thorns. At any rate, enjoy the #news and don't let it bite you in the digital asset (or any other part of your hawt bod).

Crypto News

Leading the crypto way today is Ripple Labs. But they might not consider this leading. It seems they're being sued in California in a class action suit claiming XRP is a security. Woops! And they keep saying it isn't.

If you have a hankering (and who doesn't have a hankering) to know how much crypto has been stolen this year so far, let me get you in on this well-known secret. Okay, it might not be so well known, and it definitely isn't a secret now that it's been reported, but there has been $1.1 billion in crypto stolen in 2018 (and the year isn't even half over yet).

The University of Oregon is getting a $1 billion gift to encourage it to study cryptocurrencies. This money is coming from Ripple, who earlier this month reported they'll be spreading $50 billion around to universities all over the world. The beginning of the world is in Oregon, evidently.

Investors are suing Latium in New Jersey for $17 million over its fricking #ICO. The only question I have is, is a Latium anything like a Latte? Because if it is, I want one.

Oh, and did you know the top 100 EOS holders own 75% of the crypto? Did you care?

In case you're wondering, #Binance and #NEO are leading a $12 million funding round for Republic, which is an AngelList spinoff. And I never the original. Wasn't it on NBC?

Thailand is looking at introducing its own central bank digital currency. No wonder she's got so many heads turning.

Crypto Analysis

One of the top trends in #cryptocurrency this year, predicts Coin Telegraph, is the rise of exchange-based tokens. I can see that.

Binance Coin (or, #BNB) has reached a five-month high. Lucky devil.

Watch the video report here (and stop looking at this girl's lips):

Finally, you'll be delighted to find out that 43% of crypto investors are HODLers. Heck, you might even be one of them.

But the most important question asked today is this one: Are decentralized exchanges the future of crypto trading? You know, I can just imagine that they are (but they'll have to leap over some hurdles first).
