Rocky times in our financial system are starting now (but crypto might benefit from it)

Ten days ago I posted that my Dutch bank had blocked access to my account, and totally cut me off from all my money.

The good news is that since yesterday I can access it again, but I can't shake the feeling that I have just experienced something on a "small" scale (though it came with a HUGE shock) - that the world will experience on a large scale soon.

Astrologers have been talking about the "May event" for months now

...and it's like I'm beginning to actually feel the conflict-energy. A sort of foreshadowing.

I'm not the only one who had her account blocked suddenly and unexpectedly.

It happened to two other people in my network for different reasons. None of us received any warning or prior notification.

Normally, if anyone wants money from you, they'll send you a payment request. Then a reminder. Then a reminder with fees. Then a final reminder, etc.

In this case: nada.

And that's what worries me most about this: the unexpectedness of it all.

It feels like the old system is scared and tries to tie up loose ends and collect outstanding money as fast as it can.

Update to my original post

For anyone who was wondering:

It turned out I did have an outstanding tax payment from 2014, which I had no idea about, since I never received invoices, or any reminders. But instead of just claiming the amount I owed, they blocked my whole account without warning.

Now that the bank paid the tax office from my account (with me just standing by, watching helplessly) everything is good again. Except that the bank will charge me €100 for the inconvenience.

It's futile to get upset about this. My only consolation is that...

The astrologer in the clip mentions a battle between a desire for freedom and a desire for stability and "keeping things the way they are".

That's just code for crypto vs. fiat in my book.

The one below is actually a bit more precise and he says that the crypto market will benefit when fiat goes down (which sounds pretty logical to me, too) and prices will go up again as of end of April.

I've been following him for a while, and even though I'm not so interested in the technical astro chart stuff, he has been pretty accurate with his Bitcoin predictions so far.

Diversify your fiat funds!

If there's anything to learn from this: keep your money in several bank accounts and always have some cash!

What saved me was (1) that I had a lot of cash while I was in Thailand, since I was in a remote area without ATM's. That's why I didn't notice this until I had returned to Berlin again.

And (2), besides that one last bank account, I am only using free banking apps now, for my daily and monthly spendings. Like Revolut, N26 and Kontist.

This way I could pay my rent and bills, without getting into any further trouble. My friend was not so lucky. She almost got evicted because she couldn't access her money to pay the rent.

So if you are currently relying on one bank account only, I would highly recommend to change that.
